Eagle Credit Union was originally organized by our first member owners on 1929 as Stockton Postal Credit Union. Since then a lot has changed, including our name, but our mission to provide high quality, low cost financial services to our members has never changed.
During 1999 the credit union began to expand beyond our roots as a postal employee's credit union. The credit union Board of Directors sought a name which best reflected the values this credit union has embodied for over 70 years. The name Eagle Credit Union was chosen to symbolize the strength, dignity, and freedom the credit union represents.
Eagle Credit Union is a democratically controlled cooperative. Our Board of Directors is composed of members who choose to volunteer their time in support of the mission of the credit union. As a not for profit cooperative, we return excess earnings to our members in the form of higher dividends and lower loan rates.
We currently offer membership to persons who live or work regularly in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties, US Post Office employees who work in Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Calaveras, or San Joaquin Counties, and employees of the City of Lodi and other select employee groups. Family members of existing members are also eligible.
We invite you to visit one of our offices or call us at (800) 924-3133. If you are a business or organization looking for a credit union for your employees or members, please contact us for additional information.
It sounds simple and it is. We exist for the benefit of our members. Eagle Credit Union is here to provide low cost financial services for the benefit of our members. Unlike a bank, where stockholders siphon off earnings, the credit union returns any earnings to the member-owners in the form of new services, higher dividends, and lower loan rates.
Welcome to the credit union difference. Compare our rates and you will see why Eagle Credit Union has been growing since 1929!
